What is carrooka?

In a nutshell, Carrooka is a circular table top pool table. The game is like a mix of 8-ball Pool and Shuffleboard.

how do you play?

The object of the game is basically the same as 8-ball pool, make all of your stripes or solids then make the 8 ball to win. (or play whatever variation of pool you like)

Instead of pool balls it is played with little pucks called “counters”, and instead of a cue ball it is played with a larger white puck called the “striker”. To hit the striker into the counters you simply flick it with your finger.

Who can play?

We understand that our Brewery attracts a LOT of families with children.

The Carrooka boards may look like toys, but they are not. They are individually handmade and very precise. Similar to a real pool table, the integrity of the board directly impacts the quality of the game. This is not a game for kids.

We ask that only guests 10 years old and above play on the boards.

can i play at the brewery?

YES!!!

We have 2 boards to play. If the demand to play grows we will launch a link for you to book a time slot to play! For now it is first come first serve.

The national Championship

We have partnered with the UK based company, Carrooka, to hold the FIRST EVER USA Carrooka Pool8 National Championship at BabyCat this year!

  • The tournament will be played using the TEXT RULES laid out by the fine people at Carrooka. (Available behind the bar)
